One of only four municipal elevators in the world, the Oregon City Municipal Elevator has connected the city’s upper and lower levels since 1915. The 130-foot ride takes just 15 seconds and drops you at an observation deck with views of Willamette Falls and historic downtown. It’s free to ride, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and doubles as the only vertical street in North America.
